Quick answer
Scale.gg TOS Docs is a Scale Plus app for website policies, shown in our latest video as included in the Pro plan. You enter your business details once per website, choose from nine document types (including privacy, terms, cookies, refund and disclaimer), and TOS Docs fills a template-based starting draft with your real facts. You edit it in the browser, export it in six formats or embed it on your site, and build a cookie banner from 10+ templates. The drafts are a starting point, not legal advice, so have them checked for your business.
Key takeaways
- The problem: policy pages usually start from a blank page and retyped business details
- TOS Docs stores company, contact, address and jurisdiction details in a profile for each website
- Nine document types: privacy, terms, cookies, GDPR, refund, affiliate agreements, disclaimer, EULA and DMCA
- Edit drafts in the browser and clone a document for variations
- Export as HTML, PDF, Word, RTF, Markdown or plain text, or use embed code
- Cookie banners from 10+ templates, with install guides for platforms such as WordPress and Shopify
- Drafts are not legal advice; qualified counsel should review them
Disclosure: Prodify Digital offers a bonus bundle and may earn a commission if you buy through our links. That does not change our assessment. Nothing in this article is legal advice.
🛠️ Practical guides
Ready to put this into practice? These step-by-step guides answer two common follow-up questions:
- Which Legal Pages Does Your Website Need? A Plain-English Checklist — which policy pages a small business website usually needs, when each one applies, and what to put on them.
- How to Set Up a Cookie Consent Banner That Actually Works — how to audit your cookies, write the banner, make reject as easy as accept, block scripts until consent and test it.
In this guide
Your website is nearly ready. The pages look good, the offer is clear, and then you remember: privacy policy, terms, cookie banner. Each one usually means a blank page, a search for a template and typing your business name and address for the fifth time.
In our latest video on the Prodify Digital channel we look at Scale.gg TOS Docs, which is built to take that chore off your plate. Here is what it does, how it works, and what you still need to check yourself.
Watch: the source video
What this video covers: In our latest video we introduce TOS Docs from Scale Plus: website profiles that store your business details once, nine document types, template-based drafts you edit and clone in the browser, exports in six formats or embed code, and a cookie banner builder with 10+ templates and install guides for popular platforms.
Video: our Scale.gg TOS Docs overview on the Prodify Digital YouTube channel, presented by Garry Knight. Features are described as shown at the time of recording.
What is Scale.gg TOS Docs?
TOS Docs is the website policy app in Scale.gg. It brings document templates, editable exports and cookie banners into one workspace. Scale.gg’s official TOSDocs page, checked on 29 October 2026, lists Pro access, nine document types, six export formats and 10+ banner templates. These are vendor-described capabilities; we have not independently tested the current app.
Instead of writing each policy from scratch, you give TOS Docs your business facts, pick a document type and get a starting draft to edit. If you are new to the platform, start with Scale.gg: The Agent-Native All-in-One AI Marketing Platform for Beginners, then How to Choose Which Scale.gg Apps to Start With as a Beginner.
What problem does TOS Docs solve?
It removes the blank page and the retyping. Policy pages are rarely the exciting part of a launch, so they get left until last, rushed or copied from another site that has nothing to do with yours.
| The usual way | What goes wrong | The TOS Docs approach |
|---|---|---|
| Start each policy from a blank page | Pages get delayed, rushed or skipped | Template-based starting drafts |
| Retype business details every time | Names, addresses and emails drift out of step | Details entered once per website profile |
| Copy another site’s policy | It describes their business, not yours | Drafts filled with your own facts |
| Hand-code a cookie banner | Off-brand design, fiddly install | 10+ templates and platform install guides |
💡 Tip: Before you open any policy tool, write down the tools your site actually uses: email platform, analytics, payment provider, chat widget, video embeds. Every good policy starts from that list.
How do website profiles work?
You enter your business once per website. According to our video, each profile holds your company, contact, address and jurisdiction details, and TOS Docs applies those facts to every document you create for that site.
You can manage several website profiles, each with its own documents, in one place. That suits anyone running more than one site, such as a main business site, a product launch page and a client project.
⚠️ Warning: Jurisdiction matters. Rules on privacy, cookies and refunds differ between the UK, the EU, the US and elsewhere. Pick the jurisdiction your business actually operates under, and remember your visitors may be elsewhere too.
Which documents can TOS Docs create?
Our video shows nine document types. Here is what each one is generally for. The descriptions are ours, not TOS Docs’ own wording:
| Document | What it is generally for |
|---|---|
| Privacy policy | Explains what personal data you collect, why and what people’s rights are |
| Terms | The rules for using your site or buying from you |
| Cookie policy | Explains which cookies and similar tools your site uses |
| GDPR document | Extra detail for visitors covered by UK or EU data protection law |
| Refund policy | How returns, cancellations and refunds work |
| Affiliate agreement | Terms for people who promote your products for a commission |
| Disclaimer | Limits on what your content promises, such as no guaranteed results |
| EULA | An end user licence agreement for software or apps you sell |
| DMCA | How people can report copyright problems, mainly relevant to US law |
You will not need all nine. Our guide Which Legal Pages Does Your Website Need? A Plain-English Checklist explains which pages most small business websites need and when the others apply.

How do you edit and export your documents?
You edit the draft in the browser, correct the facts and then export it or embed it. As shown in our video:
- Edit in the browser: change wording and fix any fact that is wrong or missing
- Clone a document: make variations, for example a second refund policy for a different product
- Export in six formats: HTML, PDF, Word, RTF, Markdown or plain text
- Embed code: place documents straight onto your site instead of copying and pasting
Word and PDF exports are handy when someone else, such as a solicitor, needs to review the text before it goes live.
How does the cookie banner builder work?
You pick one of more than 10 templates, customise it, preview it and copy the script onto your site. You can change the message, colours, fonts, buttons and position, so the banner matches your brand.
Our video shows install guides for WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel. Check the instructions for your platform and test the installed behaviour.
⚠️ Warning: A visible banner does not prove consent works. Advertising cookies require prior consent. UK exceptions can cover limited statistical or appearance purposes, with clear information and a simple free way to object; they do not exempt all analytics. Assess each purpose against the ICO’s current exceptions guidance. Rules elsewhere can differ. Test that non-exempt tags stay blocked before consent, and test any objection control. Our guide How to Set Up a Cookie Consent Banner That Actually Works covers the checks. Get qualified advice for your markets.
Are TOS Docs drafts legal advice?
No. The video says it plainly: these are starting drafts, not legal advice, and qualified counsel should review them for your business and jurisdiction. We agree, and it is good to see a tool say so.
A template can only describe what you tell it. If your site collects data the profile does not mention, or you sell in a way the template does not expect, the draft will be wrong. Read every line, check it against how your business really works, and get advice where the stakes are high. The habits in How to Check an AI-Drafted Agreement Before Anyone Signs It apply here too.
What does the video not confirm?
Our video is a short feature overview, so several practical details are not covered. Check these before you rely on TOS Docs:
🔎 Unconfirmed / rumour: We have not confirmed whether the cookie banner blocks scripts until consent, records consent, or offers category-level choices; which jurisdictions the templates cover; whether embedded documents update automatically when you edit them; how templates are kept current when laws change; or which languages are supported. The current vendor page confirms the feature categories and counts, but does not establish these behaviours. We make no claims about legal compliance or results.
- Shown in our video: website profiles with company, contact, address and jurisdiction details; nine document types; template-based drafts; browser editing and cloning; six export formats and embed code; 10+ cookie banner templates with customisable message, colours, fonts, buttons and position; preview and copy script; install guides for six platforms; multiple website profiles
- Check before you buy: which plan includes TOS Docs today (shown as Pro at recording) and how the banner handles consent on your platform
How do you get started with TOS Docs?
- List what your site does: forms, email sign-ups, payments, analytics, ads and embeds
- Create a website profile with your correct company, contact, address and jurisdiction details
- Choose the documents you need, usually privacy, cookies and terms first
- Read and edit each draft so it matches what your business really does
- Get it reviewed if you handle sensitive data, sell to consumers or trade across borders
- Publish by export or embed, and link each page from your site footer
- Set up and test the cookie banner, then review everything when you add a new tool
Who is TOS Docs right for?
In our view, it suits you if:
- You are launching a website and keep putting the policy pages off
- You run several sites or client projects and want each one’s documents in one place
- You want a cookie banner that matches your brand without hand-coding it
- You are already on, or considering, the Scale.gg Pro plan
It matters less if a lawyer already maintains your policies, or if your business needs bespoke terms that no template could cover. In that case, the checklists in our two guides still help you keep the pages accurate.
