Quick answer
DocSigner is the Scale Plus / Scale.gg app that puts AI-assisted document drafting and e-signatures in one place, and in our latest video we show it is included in the Pro Plan. You describe the situation in plain language, AI Discovery suggests what kind of document you need, and a guided interview asks for the missing details. You then start from one of more than 50 templates across 11 categories, generate a draft from scratch or upload a PDF you already have, and edit it inside the app. Saved company details autofill the paperwork, you place signature, initials, date and text fields, choose a parallel or sequential signing order and send. Recipients can sign on a phone, you can see exactly where a document has stopped, and finished documents are kept with a completion certificate and audit trail. Because it is a legal document, you and a qualified adviser should review the draft before it goes out.

You have just agreed a deal. Everyone is happy. Now somebody has to write the agreement and get it signed, and that is usually where the momentum drains away.
In our latest video on the Prodify Digital channel we look at DocSigner, the Scale.gg app that takes you from “we need an agreement” to “everyone has signed” in one place, using AI drafting and e-signatures rather than blank documents and email chasing.

What is Scale.gg DocSigner?
DocSigner is an app for drafting business documents with AI help and collecting e-signatures on them, part of the Scale Plus / Scale.gg app suite. As shown in our video, it is included in the Pro Plan.
The point is to keep the whole job in one place: working out what document you need, drafting it, filling in the details, placing the signature fields, sending it and keeping the signed copy.
💡 Tip: Plan inclusions can change. Check what your own Scale.gg account shows before you build a process around a specific feature.
Why is getting an agreement signed so slow?
Most of the delay is admin, not negotiation. The usual routine looks like this, compared with the DocSigner approach shown in the video:
| The usual way | The DocSigner way |
|---|---|
| Start from a blank document | Describe the situation and let AI Discovery suggest a direction |
| Guess what the agreement needs to include | A guided interview asks for the missing details |
| Retype your company name, address and signers every time | Save a company profile and let autofill do it |
| Email a file and ask people to print, sign and scan | Place signature fields and send for e-signature |
| Wonder who has and has not signed | Track exactly where the document stopped |
| Hunt through email for the final version | Keep the completed document with a certificate and audit trail |
None of this makes the deal itself better. It just removes the friction between agreeing something and having it on paper.
How does DocSigner draft a document with AI?
As shown in our video, drafting happens in two steps:
- AI Discovery. You describe the situation in normal language, for example “I am taking on a freelance designer for a three-month project”, and DocSigner suggests a document direction
- Guided interview. It then asks the questions it still needs answered, so the first draft has the context it needs rather than generic placeholder wording
This is the part that saves the most thinking time. Instead of deciding which template applies and what to put in it, you answer questions about your own situation.
⚠️ Warning: An AI draft is only as good as the answers you give it. Be specific about names, dates, amounts, deliverables and what happens if things go wrong, and check every one of those in the draft.
Can you start from a template or your own PDF?
Yes. The video shows three starting points:
| Starting point | When it suits you |
|---|---|
| One of 50+ professional templates across 11 categories | You know the type of document you need and want a familiar structure |
| Generate a draft from scratch | Your situation is unusual and no template quite fits |
| Upload a PDF you already have | You have an agreement you already use and just want to send it for signature |
Whichever you choose, you can edit the agreement like a normal document inside the app before you send it.
🔎 Unconfirmed / rumour: Our video confirms the number of templates and categories but does not list them. Check the template library in your own account to see which document types are covered.
How does autofill stop the retyping?
You can save three kinds of detail once and reuse them, as shown in the video:
- Your company profile
- Your authorised signers, the people allowed to sign on your behalf
- Your recipient companies, the businesses you regularly send documents to
Autofill then drops those details into new documents. That is quicker, and it also cuts the small typing mistakes in names and addresses that make an agreement look careless.

How do e-signatures work in DocSigner?
Once the draft is ready, you place fields where each person needs to act. The video shows four field types: signature, initials, date and text.
Then you choose the signing order:
| Signing order | How it works | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Parallel | Everyone gets the document at the same time | Simple agreements where the order does not matter |
| Sequential | People sign one after another, in the order you set | When one person must approve or countersign before the next |
Recipients can review and sign from a phone, so nobody has to wait until they are back at a desk. We explain how to pick the right order in Parallel vs Sequential Signing: How to Choose the Right Signing Order.
What happens after you send a document?
Two things in the video stand out:
- Tracking. You can see exactly where a document has stopped, so your follow-up can be specific: “It is just waiting for your finance director’s signature” beats “Any update?”
- Records. Completed documents are kept with a completion certificate and audit trail for your business records
An audit trail is a record of what happened to the document and when. It is useful if you ever need to show when something was sent and signed.
Do you still need a legal review?
Yes. As we say in the video, because it is a legal document, you and qualified counsel should review it before it goes anywhere. AI drafting speeds up the first version; it does not replace advice on your situation.
Rules on electronic signatures and on what a contract must contain also differ between countries and document types. If an agreement is high value, unusual or regulated, get proper advice before you rely on it.
Our guide How to Check an AI-Drafted Agreement Before Anyone Signs It gives you a practical checklist for the review you can do yourself before it goes to an adviser.
What does the video not confirm?
Our video is a short overview, so some details are not covered. Please check these in your own account before relying on them:
🔎 Unconfirmed / rumour: Not shown in our video: whether recipients get automatic reminders, how signers verify their identity, whether DocSigner connects to other Scale.gg apps or to Zapier, which countries’ signature rules it is designed around, what the full template list is, and whether signed documents can be exported in bulk. The video does confirm mobile signing, tracking, and completion certificates with an audit trail.
How do you send your first agreement?
Based on the features shown in the video, this is the order we would follow:
- Set up your company profile and authorised signers first, so autofill works from day one
- Add a recipient company you work with regularly
- Describe your situation to AI Discovery, or pick a template, or upload your own PDF
- Answer the guided interview with specific names, dates, amounts and deliverables
- Edit and review the draft, then have it checked by a qualified adviser if it matters
- Place signature, initials, date and text fields for each person
- Choose parallel or sequential signing
- Send a test to yourself on your phone to see what signers will see
- Send it for real, track progress and follow up with context
- Keep the completion certificate with your records
Who is DocSigner right for?
In our view, DocSigner suits you if:
- You regularly send agreements such as client contracts, freelancer agreements or simple service terms
- You are tired of retyping the same company details into every document
- You lose time chasing signatures by email
- You already use Scale.gg and want documents in the same place as the rest of your business
It matters less if you only sign a handful of documents a year, or if every agreement you use is drafted by a lawyer anyway. Be realistic: it speeds up the paperwork, but it does not make the legal judgement for you.

The bottom line
DocSigner is built for the gap between agreeing a deal and getting it signed. AI Discovery and the guided interview give you a sensible first draft, autofill stops the retyping, and e-signatures with parallel or sequential order, mobile signing, tracking and an audit trail take care of the chasing. Use the AI for speed, keep a human review for anything that matters, and start with the agreement you send most often.
